Blue Lake Public Radio Underwriting
West Michigan listeners have turned to Blue Lake Public Radio for inspiring classical music, swinging jazz and NPR news for over 40 years. Through the decades, we have been able to rely on the generosity of those listeners for most of our operating support. We have also had many wonderful business partners who helped us along the way by becoming underwriters.
Underwriting sponsorship is a tax-deductible gift from an organization to a noncommercial broadcaster. That support is identified publically through brief on-air announcements. Identifying underwriters in this way lets our listeners know who in the community is joining them in securing great public radio. Public radio listeners – investors themselves – turn to these businesses first when looking for the products or services offered.
I work with each business partner to create meaningful messaging. Most underwriting messaging will air when the majority of listeners are tuned in but I can also craft messaging schedules to reach a particular audience.
Please get in touch! I love to talk about Blue Lake Public Radio underwriting and how it works as effective community outreach.
