This month-long celebration demonstrates how Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Americans have strengthened our country, by using their talent and creativity to help create awareness and goodwill. The first Pride March in New York City was held on June 28, 1970, on the one year anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. Tune in throughout the month of June to Classical Music with Foley Schuler as the legacy and numerous contributions of LGBTQ individuals to classical music and the arts will be showcased and celebrated.
You can hear Foley Schuler's musical selections—and stories behind the music—every weekday afternoon from 1 until 4 on Blue Lake Public Radio.
