We are pleased to introduce a new voice to Blue Lake Public Radio listeners. Matt Sumner will be bringing you great classical music from 4 to 7 p.m. starting on Memorial Day. Judy Wagley will be moving to the 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. time slot the same day.
Matt has a long history with Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp going back to his camper days. He completed a degree in music at Central Michigan University and spent several years as a local host and producer for CMU Public Media.
Outside of Blue Lake, Matt is one of West Michigan’s top-call commercial, lead, and jazz trumpet players. He has had the honor to perform with dozens of professionals including the Stevie Wonder Tribute Band, the Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra, Bobby Shew, and Wayne Bergeron. Matt currently resides in Muskegon with his wife and 3 cats.
