The final scene of Mozart's "The Magic Flute."

Mozart's "Magic Flute" in English this Saturday.

In what has become a holiday tradition, we are pleased to present Mozart’s heartwarming fairy tale in the Met’s abridged, English-language production by Julie Taymor—the Tony Award–winning director of Broadway’s The Lion King. This version is perfect for audiences of all ages and features some of opera's most beloved music both dramatic and silly.

We hope you will tune in to enjoy the live broadcast at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 20. While you listen, check out these downloadable activities for opera fans of all ages!

Klay came into radio as a volunteer folk music host on a small public radio station in Ft. Dodge (IA) in the late ’80s. He became Director of Broadcasting for Blue Lake in 2022. You will hear Klay filling in from time to time where needed.
