Detroit Symphony Live on Blue Lake

Detroit Symphony Orchestra

The November 14 broadcast from Orchestra Hall features Mozart and Beethoven.

Our broadcast program begins with Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture, inspired by the heroic character of a Shakespearean tragedy. Acclaimed pianist Francesco Piemontesi joins Jader Bignamini for more Beethoven - his Piano Concerto No. 1, full of bold contrasts and playful stylistic turns. The concert will conclude with Mozart’s deeply expressive Symphony No. 40. Fill the middle of your day with great music live from Orchestra Hall!

"Detroit Symphony - Live" broadcasts begin at 10:40 a.m.

Klay came into radio as a volunteer folk music host on a small public radio station in Ft. Dodge (IA) in the late ’80s. He became Director of Broadcasting for Blue Lake in 2022. You will hear Klay filling in from time to time where needed.
