This fall, tune in to Gateways Radio here on Blue Lake!
Gateways Radio features exceptional compositions and exquisite performances, celebrating the Gateways Music Festival’s mission of connecting and supporting classical musicians of African descent and serving as a source of inspiration, enlightenment, and engagement for communities—especially communities underrepresented in classical music.
The Gateways Music Festival was founded at the Eastman School of Music in 1993. Gateways Radio is a showcase for performances from Festival ensembles including the Gateways Brass Collective, Gateways Chamber Players, and Gateways Music Festival Orchestra, as well as prominent guest ensembles and artists such as Imani Winds and the Catalyst Quartet.
Gateways Radio is hosted by Loki Karuna and produced by WXXI Classical in Rochester, New York. Tune in Saturday afternoons at 4 starting September 6.
