"A-Tisket, A-Tasket," and "Undecided" were songs a teenage Ella Fitzgerald recorded with drummer Chick Webb's Orchestra that started her career, and pairings with Louis Armstrong, The Ink Spots and The Delta Rhythm Boys set the stage for her solo career. After touring with the Dizzy Gillespie band she added scat sung romps to the set list ("Flyin' Home," "How High The Moon," "Lady Be Good") and became more than a girl singer but began an artistic climb that put her atop the list of premier musicians in the 20th Century. You only need one word to know: Ella.
