More Music Coming to Blue Lake Public Radio in July

Judy Wagley joins Blue Lake staff

All of us at Blue Lake are thrilled to welcome a new colleague to the station and a new voice to our airwaves - Judy Wagley. Judy will be heard from 4 to 7 p.m. weekdays starting Monday, July 7.

While she’s new to Blue Lake, Judy has had a long career in broadcasting. Most recently, classical music listeners heard her in the afternoons on WCMU (Mt. Pleasant). She also spent some time at WFGR in Grand Rapids when it was the city’s commercial classical music station.

An Ohio native, Judy graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Music History. She is an avid French horn player who remains active with a number of ensembles. When she’s not behind a microphone or on a stage you will probably find Judy around a swimming pool as she is a certified water fitness and swimming instructor.

We think you will enjoy spending time with Judy in the afternoons. Tune in!

Klay came into radio as a volunteer folk music host on a small public radio station in Ft. Dodge (IA) in the late ’80s. He became Director of Broadcasting for Blue Lake in 2022. You will hear Klay filling in from time to time where needed.
