Kalamazoo's Bronson Park will be filled with art Friday and Saturday.

Summer begins with the 74th Annual Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair in historic Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo. This two-day, juried art show draws thousands of visitors to the park and features fine artists from across Michigan and the country showcasing their creations of usable and decorative art to feature, wear and use. The fun on Friday and Saturday includes shopping, live entertainment, kids’ activities, artist demonstrations from the Kirk Newman Art School, food trucks, and admission to the KIA galleries.

Blue Lake Public Radio's Jack Perlstein paid a visit to Kalamazoo to talk with Kathryn Armstrong, Director of Advancement for the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. For more information about the 2025 Arts Fair: https://kiarts.org/arts-fair/

Klay came into radio as a volunteer folk music host on a small public radio station in Ft. Dodge (IA) in the late ’80s. He became Director of Broadcasting for Blue Lake in 2022. You will hear Klay filling in from time to time where needed.
